PEERY YEARLY EVENTS
• January – Academy Recital held at the premier recital hall, Le Petit Trianon in San Jose
• May – PPA Festival
• August – PPA Summer Ensemble Festival
The PPA Yearly Events are key to the student’s progress, commitment and enjoyment of their musical studies. All event dates are posted by September 1st and are on www.peerymusic.com throughout the year for your reference. Parents are expected to mark the Yearly Events dates on their personal and set the dates aside so that their child can attend each event. Because they are key to the student’s progress and occur only three times per year, we ask that the Yearly Events take precedence over other conflicting student activities including sporting events.

MATERIALS
Your tuition includes all the materials you will need for the Peery Habits program except for a metronome. Players and Mastery materials are purchased separately.  CLICK HERE FOR METRONOME RECOMMENDATION AND ONLINE PURCHASE

BILLING CYCLE
Tuition is charged on a semester basis. Tuition payments can be made monthly or by semester (quarterly). Monthly payments are charged on the 1st of every month. Monthly payments incur a 1% installment fee. Semester payments are charged on the first day of every quarter: September 1, December 1, March 1, and June 1.
Tuition is automatically pro-rated depending on start date.
Students enrolled in the Peery Piano Academy are responsible for paying the entire semester tuition in which they are enrolled.
Fall Semester: September 1st thru November 31st
Winter Semester: December 1st thru February 28th
Spring Semester: March 1st thru May 31st
Summer Semester: June 1st thru August 31st
Students are automatically enrolled on an ongoing basis until notice of withdrawal is received (see Cancellation Policy).
See the Peery Academy calendar online at www.peerymusic.com for specific dates of lessons, classes and recitals. Term lengths and dates follow what is written in the PPA policy and not when the student enrolls.

TUITION CHARGES
Tuition is charged by the semester as 4 equal quarterly or 12 equal monthly payments throughout the year depending on your payment preference. There is a 1% additional installment fee for monthly payments. Tuition is not charged based on how many lessons there are in a given month. It is pro-rated into equal payments of the same amount to account for all events, lessons and classes held throughout the year. All days of the week get the same number of lesson days throughout the year.

PAYMENT
Payments can be made using direct debit, Visa or MasterCard. All payment is processed by Music Business Solutions and will appear on your credit card or banking statement as MUBUS.
All tuition charges go through on the first day of the month or quarter.

MAKEUPS
PPA does not offer any makeups for student absences. This is true for all programs. If a teacher is absent a substitute will be arranged. Habits students are welcome to use the Habits Swap calendar to arrange swaps for absent and open spots. This is a parent run program and does not involve the teachers or administration of PPA. More information on how to use the Habits Swap program can be found on our website at http://peerymusic.com/blog/schedules-rosters/how-to-use-the-habits-swap-calendar/

CORRESPONDENCE
All PPA parents are required to sign up for automatic email subscriptions to the Peery Academy blog upon enrollment in order to keep up to date on events, announcements and schedules. Additionally, PPA students can contact our Director, Thomas Skousen with questions, concerns and for consultations.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Once a student completes their initial enrollment all enrollment for future semesters continues automatically. Automatic enrollment will continue until notice of withdrawal is received.
The WITHDRAWAL FORM is found on peerymusic.com/blog/policies-documents/cancellation-policy

Intention to withdraw from PPA must be received 31 days prior to the beginning of the coming semester.
Withdrawal deadlines:
October 31 (for withdrawal from winter semester beginning Dec 1)
January 31 (for withdrawal from spring semester beginning March 1)
April 30 (for withdrawal from summer semester beginning June 1)
July 31 (for withdrawal by fall semester beginning September 1)

To avoid being charged tuition for the next semester withdrawal notice must be received by the above deadlines. Withdrawals after the deadline, but before the semester begins, will be charged a late fee of $50. No tuition credits will be given to tuition charges past the beginning of the semester.
The standard enrollment fee of $99 will apply to all students re-enrolling after a withdrawal.

FOR HABITS PROGRAM ONLY: It is required that you return all Habits materials within 1 week of your last lesson. Failure to do so will result in a $120 materials charge.

PEERY CERTIFICATION
To give students the full picture of what Peery has to offer, it is required of all new students to participate in the Peery Certification Program by joining www.PeeryPiano.com for a minimum of 3 months and submitting at least 1 video for evaluation during this time. Lessons will not begin until the student has subscribed to www.peerypiano.com. To compensate for the required additional cost of the online Certification, you will receive a 1 time tuition credit at PPA of $60 after your first video on www.peerypiano.com is submitted. If you don’t submit a video during the first 3 months no credit will be given. If you choose to continue in the Certification program after the first 3 months you can do so by continuing your subscription online, or scheduling private in person evaluations with Mrs Skousen by emailing Christie@peerymusic.com.
