Top of the Empire State Building: wind, running kids, making movies, making their music above the rhythms of the city, in the context of the 360 degree skyline. So neat.
- split- some went to the 9/11 museum & wall street, others went on the ferry, others went walk the island of Manhatton. All met this evening for Lion King. Awesome. Tomorrow we head for D.C. for President’s Day. 7:05 a.m. to catch Amtrak at Penn Station. We miss you all !

We are having such a blast ! ! ! Highlights today were: masterclass with Dustin Gledhill, Jennie Naylor Richards, and Sorab Wadia. This performers were AWESOME. There feedback was extremely implementable for the kids. And, Dustin played a Mozart piece in a truly, truly masterful way. What a treat, the Bechstein piano was amazing as well. Then, this afternoon, all of the students had a chance to get on the stage in Paul hall. We’ll post photos of them at the piano soon! This evening we had seats directly above the Count Bassie and the Blues. Holy Smoke! It. Was. Awesome. All the kids were moving to the beat and humming little rifs from the blues even after we had gotten on the Subway. Man, it stuck. The pianist(s) were so smooth. Tomorrow is Empire State building and Lion King. We’ll let you know how it goes!
