Set-up Crew (2): 2:30pm – 3:00pm
1) We will need to set up chairs in specific rooms where the solo competitions will be held. There are three rooms that will need to be set up. The pianos will need to be moved to the center of the room and a judges’ table erected.
2) Registration Station, Student Store and Snack Station areas need to be created. Christie will have the appropriate signs.
3) If you are able to help serve as traffic controllers after set up is completed, that would be appreciated. You will be stationed in the door entryways to help the kids figure out where they need to check in and where the parents can drop off the snacks. As the kids will be assigned to color groups, they will need to stay in their groups until the event starts.
Team Parent Leaders (3-4): 3:00-5:00
As parent team leaders, you will be assigned to a colored team. You’ll have a schedule which tells you where your group needs to be at a particular time. Please remember that you will be asked to stay the entire time of the festival. You will be the team’s mentor, timekeeper and cheerleader. It’s a very fun job.
Registration/Snack Station (2): 2:30-4:00
You will man the Registration Station and check the kids in. It is a matter of checking off their names and giving them their colored name tags. After all the children have been checked in, please set up the Snack Station and have all the food and drinks ready for the mid-event break. The eager kids will all be very hungry and thirsty!
Student Store (3): 4:30-5:30
Set up the Student Store during the “Quiz Show” event. You will also serve as cashiers for the store. All of the items will be clearly marked with a “price” sticker and all you will need to do is to add up their total and collect their tokens. I believe that there will be about 40+ eager bargain hunters shopping with their PPA tokens.
Clean-up Crew: 5:30pm-6:00pm
By 5:30 p.m., the event will be winding down. Basically, everything needs to be put back into its original place. I am sure of that all available parents will help with this.
Expect a little chaos, but it’s a lot of fun!
Please let Missi know if you have any questions.
Please note that the end of the Spring quarter is May 30th instead of the 29th. Students enrolled in Saturday classes for the Spring quarter will have class on the 30th. Email Missi if you have any questions.
Because the beginning and end of the summer quarter overlaps with the school year, we have adjusted the class times for our Tuesday and Thursday classes. All classes have been pushed by 15 minutes. For example, if you enrolled in Tuesday at 3:00 pm the class will now begin at 3:15pm . I have listed the old and new class times below.
Old Class Time New Class Time
Tuesday 3:00pm 3:15pm
Tuesday 4:00pm 4:15pm
Tuesday 5:00pm 5:15pm
Tuesday 6:00pm 6:15pm
Thursday 4:00pm 4:15pm
Thursday 5:00pm 5:15pm
Thursday 6:00pm 6:15pm
Please email Missi if you have any questions.
